Andreas Resch C.Ss.R (* 29. October 1934 in Collepietra , South Tyrol ) is a South Tyrolean theologian , psychologist and Para scientist - he himself speaks of Paranormologie .

Live and act

Resch entered the Redemptorist Order in 1955 . From 1956 to 1962 he studied Catholic theology . In 1961 he was ordained a priest . In 1963 he was at the University of Graz Dr. theol. PhD . He completed further studies in psychology at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau and Innsbruck in 1967 with a doctorate in medicine. phil. from.

After training in psychoanalytical and behavioral therapy in Innsbruck, Munich and London, years of psychotherapeutic practice followed. From 1969 to 2000 he was a professor at the Accademia Alfonsiana of the Pontifical Lateran University / Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome with lectures on clinical psychology and paranormology (term introduced by Resch to denote the entire field of the extraordinary). He has given numerous guest lectures in the USA, Japan and Australia.

In 1974 he founded the Resch publishing house and since 1980 has been director of the "Institute for Frontier Areas of Science" (IGW), which he founded. He is also the initiator of the Imago Mundi congresses and publisher of several magazines and book series such as the interdisciplinary quarterly Ethica . Resch received the Tyrolean Eagle Order in gold and honorary citizenship from Karneid in South Tyrol.

He led in 1998 and 2005 investigations of the alleged Marian apparitions of Medjugorje by and published the results under the Medjugorje visionaries. He came to the opinion that science could neither confirm nor deny that the visionaries had appeared to the Mother of God . Andreas Resch has been a member of the Catholic student union K.Ö.HV Leopoldina Innsbruck since 1965 .
