Andreas Sucher

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andreas Sucher (born January 28, 1979 in Villach ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and is currently a member of the Villach municipal council and state manager of the SPÖ Carinthia.

Life

Sucher graduated from the HTL Villach in 1998, specializing in IT and organization, and in 2006 completed his degree in electronics at the Villach University of Applied Sciences . He worked at the Klagenfurt LKH from 1999 to 2000 , after which he switched to Infineon for four and a half years . After this time he went back to the hospital industry and worked there for another 7 years at the LKH Villach. He married Tanja Weber on September 11, 2015.

politics

Andreas Sucher has been a member of the SPÖ since 2003. He was involved as a works council during his LKH time and was also represented in the AK parliament . He then worked as an employee of the state government for governor Peter Kaiser . On March 23, 2015, Sucher was elected 100% club chairman of the SPÖ Villach and on April 10 of the same year he was sworn in as a member of the Villach city senate at the constituent meeting of the newly elected council.

Political projects

During his time as a city councilor (advisor for building matters, urban development, urban planning, sports and leisure facilities, fire services, properties and apartments), Sucher set a certain tone. Among other things, the construction of the new sports facility in Landskron, the redesign and redesign of Hans-Gasser-Platz as well as an investment offensive in the education sector were started. Particular attention was paid to the involvement of the citizens. With the Villach fire brigades he started a project to integrate refugees by working at the main fire station in Villach. Together with those responsible for the Villach football clubs, he initiated and supported the establishment of a game community with the primary goal of promoting professional youth work and creating a basis for football to be strengthened both as a popular sport and as a top sport in Villach.

In addition to many measures to improve and renew the urban infrastructure, Sucher also worked on finalizing the urban development concept 2025 (SteVi 2025).

Resignation as city council

He gained nationwide fame through his opinion-making under the pseudonym "dklamp" in the forum of the Kleine Zeitung. Under this pseudonym, Sucher criticized other parties (mostly ÖVP ), sometimes savagely, and praised elected SPÖ representatives as well as himself. The double game was exposed when he accidentally signed a comment from "dklamp" with "A.Sucher". In addition to the fake account “dklamp” and its actual user, Sucher admitted to having used another account to comment on articles. Sucher did not consider resigning at first. The SPÖ was still behind Sucher and attributed the posting affair to the politician's “youth”. On Monday, August 1, 2016, Sucher resigned from his functions as club chairman and city councilor after consultation with Mayor Günther Albel . At the municipal council meeting on September 21, 2016, his successor Harald Sobe took the place of the city council.

Political functions

Since his resignation as a city councilor, Sucher has been exercising the mandate of the Villach municipal council and is chairman of the main and finance committee, a member of the committee for urban development and planning and the committee for municipal operations and companies.

In 2018 he succeeded Daniel Fellner as regional manager of the SPÖ Carinthia.

Voluntary functions

Sucher has been chairman of the Nordisches Schisportzentrum Süd - Villacher Alpen Arena association since 2015, chairman-deputy of Naturfreunde Carinthia and auditor at the Villach association for social care - ARGE Sozial.
