Andrei Ilienko (born August 16, 1994 ) is a Georgian ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Ilienko made his first international appearance at the 2015 World Cup , when he was on the ice for the Georgian national team in Division III and finished fifth out of seven teams with his team. Although he conceded an average of 9.13 goals per game behind his defense, he was still voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament. In the following year he achieved the second-best catch quota of the tournament with 92.06% behind the Luxemburgish Gilles Mangen and thus made a decisive contribution to the Georgians' second place in Division III. In 2017 , he achieved the third-best catch quota behind the Luxembourger Philippe Lepage and the Taiwanese Liao Yu-Cheng . Also in 2018 he played in Division III and contributed to the Georgians' first promotion to Division II with the lowest goal against goals and the third-best catch quota behind the Turk Muhammed Karagül and the South African Charl Pretorius . He also represented his colors in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .

At club level, Ilienko plays for the Fiery Crusaders Tbilisi in the Georgian ice hockey league .
