Andrei Virgil Ivan (born January 4, 1997 in Moreni ) is a Romanian football player .

Career

society

Ivan joined CS Universitatea Craiova in 2013 at the age of 16 , which was playing in Liga II at the time . On March 8, 2014, he was used for the first time in the championship game against Olimpia Satu Mare . In the last games of the 2013/14 season he was part of the starting eleven and rose with his team to League 1 . There was mostly a substitute player in the 2014/15 season . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , Ivan became a regular in the storm.

In the summer of 2017 Ivan moved to Russia for FK Krasnodar . There he made seven appearances in the 2017/18 season , in each of which he was substituted in in the final phase.

For the season 2018/19 he was transferred to Austria to the SK Rapid Wien awarded. By the end of the season he made 22 appearances in the Bundesliga , in which he scored one goal.

After the loan ended, he initially returned to Krasnodar for the 2019/20 season, where he played for the second division team. In August 2019 he returned to Universitatea Craiova, where he received a contract that ran until June 2023.

National team

Ivan was appointed to the Romanian national team for the first time by national coach Anghel Iordănescu in November 2015 . He played his first international match in the friendly against Italy on November 17, 2015, when he came on for Bogdan Stancu in the 85th minute . In March 2016, he was also part of the squad and was substituted on in both friendlies. In May 2016, Ivan von Iordănescu was appointed to his provisional squad for the European Championship , but was ultimately not considered.
