Andrei Miron

Andrei Miron (born December 2, 1951 in Bonn ; † January 18, 2011 ) was a German prehistoric scientist .

Miron studied prehistory and early history at the University of Saarbrücken and received his doctorate in 1983. Since 1982 he has been working in the State Conservatory Office in Saarbrücken and in 1986 became head of the Department of Archaeological Preservation in the Conservatory Office and succeeded Alfons Kolling as the State Archaeologist of the Saarland and as a part-time director of the Museum of Prehistory in Saarbrücken . He was released from service in 2002 and released after being convicted of bribery.
