Andrija Delibašić (born April 24, 1981 in Nikšić ) is a former Montenegrin football player .
Player career
The beginnings
Andrija Delibašić began his career at FK Partizan Belgrade . With Partizan he was able to win the championships in 2002 and 2003 and the trophy in 2001. He played in Belgrade for five years from 1999 to January 2004. In the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League he scored all three goals for Partizan Belgrade in the group stage. Then Delibašić moved to Spain, where he signed a contract with the first division club RCD Mallorca . In the first year he became a regular there and scored 13 goals this season.
Portugal
After a good year with Mallorca, the Montenegrin was loaned to the Portuguese top club Benfica Lisbon . He was allowed to play three season games there, in which he remained goalless. For the next season he was loaned to league rivals Sporting Braga . There he was able to score four goals in ten games and recommend himself for other clubs.
Further rental stations
For the 2006/07 season Delibašić went to the Greek top club AEK Athens , but after a first half series with only nine appearances and one goal, the striker was loaned back to Portugal. At SC Beira-Mar he scored a goal, so that this loan deal also ended unsuccessfully. Now Mallorca did not want to use the attacker's services after signing Pierre Webó and Daniel Güiza , so he was loaned to Spanish second division Real Sociedad for the 2007/08 season .
In summer 2008 Delibašić was from Mallorca to the second division Hércules CF issued. After he had a pretty successful time there and scored a total of 21 goals in 65 games, he moved to Rayo Vallecano for the 2010/11 season . With Rayo, he rose to the Primera División at the end of the 2010/11 season .
Last years
In the summer of 2013, Delibašić's contract with Rayo was not renewed. He was without a club for six months before Ratchaburi Mitr Phol brought him to Thailand in early 2014 . There he came up with seven games. In the second half of the year he was again without a club. At the beginning of 2015, he was accepted by his hometown club FK Sutjeska Nikšić , where he soon ended his career.
International
Andrija Delibasic played in the U21 national team of Serbia and Montenegro and took part in the 2004 Olympic Games with the team . In 2006 the state of Serbia-Montenegro dissolved and from then on Delibasic was eligible to play for the senior national team of Montenegro . He made his debut for the new national team on October 10, 2009, when he was in the starting line-up for the 2010 World Cup qualifying match against Georgia . In this game he also marked his first international goal when he scored the 2-1 final score. His breakthrough with the national team came in qualifying for the European Football Championship in 2012 . Here you got involved in the qualification right from the start. At times they were leaders , even before favored England . His most important goal for the national team was made by Delibasic on October 7, 2011, when he scored the 2-2 final result in stoppage time in the qualifying game against England. Thus, Montenegro already qualified for the relegation round on the penultimate matchday of the qualification. There Montenegro failed to the Czech Republic .
