Andrzej Franaszek

Andrzej Franaszek (born April 28, 1971 in Cracow ) is a Polish literary scholar , literary critic and publicist . In his scientific research he mainly deals with contemporary Polish literature, especially with Zbigniew Herbert and Czesław Miłosz .

Life

Franaszek attended grammar school in Kraków and graduated from high school in 1990. He then took up a degree in Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University and obtained his master's degree in 1995 . As a student he made his debut as a literary critic in the magazine NaGłos , in which he published reviews and articles until 1996. In addition, he published in the Dekada Literacka magazine from 1992 to 1995 and began working as an editor for the Tygodnik Powszechny newspaper in 1994 . From 2004 to 2005 he was a member of the jury for the Nike Literature Prize . On television, he took part in several literary programs on TVP Kultura , from 2009 to 2012 for Czytelnia , 2012 Czytanie to awantura and from 2013 to 2014 Sztuka czytania , and moderated the programs Życie na miarę literatury from 2012 to 2014 and Dwukropek from on Polskie Radio 2 2014 to 2015.
