Andrzej Tadeusz Rozenek (born March 17, 1969 in Warsaw ) is a Polish journalist and politician .

Professional career

After graduating from high school, Rozenek studied political science at the University of Warsaw from 1988 , but dropped out in 1998 without a degree. At the same time he was a member of the Polish Student Union until 1995 , in which he was two cadenz head of the Warsaw University committee and one cadenz member of the national board. 1992-1993, he was also head of the academic offices of Culture and Arts of the Student Union Alma-Art and editor of the student magazine Na Przekór (dt. To spite ).

Political career

In the parliamentary elections in 1993 Rozenek ran for the first time for the Sejm , the Polish lower house , as a candidate for Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej (German alliance of the democratic left ) , but remained unsuccessful.

In the parliamentary elections in 2011 , he ran again as a candidate for the Twój Ruch party (Eng. Your Movement ) of the entrepreneur Janusz Palikot . In the constituency of Kattowitz 31  , 15,793 voters voted for Rozenek, who thus received a mandate for the Sejm. As a result, he was appointed spokesman for his party. Before the parliamentary elections in 2015 , however, he left them and did not stand for election again. Since 2016 he has been informally supporting the civil rights movement of activist Mateusz Kijowski, which is critical of the government .

In the election for mayor of Warsaw in October 2018, Razem ran for the electoral alliance of SLD and Lewica , but only received 1.5% of the vote.
