Andy Hope 1930 , artist name of Andreas Hofer since 2010 , (* 1963 in Munich ) is a German painter , sculptor and installation artist .
life and work
From 1991 to 1997 Andreas Hofer studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London . In 2010 he adopted the stage name Andy Hope 1930 , which he has been using exclusively since then.
Andy Hope 1930 is represented with works in important collections, including the Lenbachhaus Collection in Munich , the Museum Abteiberg Mönchengladbach, the MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, the Center Pompidou Paris, the Belvedere Vienna, the MARTa Herford , and the contemporary art collection the Federal Republic of Germany Federal Art Collection as well as in internationally important private collections. The Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus , Munich, showed numerous works in the first museum exhibition by Andreas Hofer in 2005. In 2017, works by Andy Hope 1930 were part of the main exhibition VIVA ARTE VIVA at the 57th Biennale di Venezia .
Andy Hope has lived and worked in Berlin since 2000 .
