Anette Hübinger born Klein (born July 9, 1955 in Neunkirchen / Saar ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2005 to 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1974 at the Girls' High School in Neunkirchen, Anette Hübinger studied law at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken , which she completed in 1981 with the first state examination in law. After her legal clerkship , she passed the second state examination in 1984 and worked as a consultant in the office of Member of the Bundestag Werner Schreiber until 1989 .

Anette Hübinger is a Roman Catholic , married and has one son.

Political party

She joined the CDU in 1985 and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association Saarbrücken-Stadt since 2000. In 1999 she became the honorary district mayor of Halberg . From 2003 to 2005, Anette Hübinger was also a member of the CDU Saar's regional executive committee .

MPs

From 2005 to 2017, Hübinger was a member of the German Bundestag. In the 2005 Bundestag election, she entered the Bundestag via the Saarland state list. In the 2009 election, she succeeded in the Saarbrücken constituency for the first time since the Saarland joined the Federal Republic of Germany and won a direct mandate for the CDU. She was able to prevail with 31.8% against the social democrat Elke Ferner . In the 2013 federal election she defended her direct mandate again against Elke Ferner.

In the 16th and 17th legislative periods, Anette Hübinger was a full member of the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment . She was also a deputy member of the Committee for Transport, Building and Urban Development. Since 2014 she has been a full member of the budget committee and a member of the sub-committee on issues relating to the European Union, as well as a deputy member of the committee for education, research and technology assessment.

Since January 2010, Anette Hübinger has been a member of the German delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Until 2011 she was also a member of the European Assembly for Security and Defense.

Volunteering

Anette Hübinger has been a board member of the humanitarian aid organization Help - Help for Self-Help eV since 2006 . She has been on the board of trustees of the Hagen-based Georg Kraus Foundation since 2010. From 2010 to 2013 she worked on the board of the Cologne aid organization Habitat for Humanity Germany . Anette Hübinger is also involved in the parliamentary advisory council of the German Foundation for World Population .
