Elke Hoff
Elke Hoff (born June 20, 1957 in Unkel ) is a German politician ( FDP ).
Life and work
After graduating from the Rhein-Wied-Gymnasium in Neuwied in 1976 , Elke Hoff began studying German , philosophy and political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , which she dropped out in 1980 due to pregnancy. Instead, she completed an apprenticeship as a clerk in the real estate and housing industry, which she finished in 1982. From 1985 to 1991 she worked in the press and public relations work of the building industry association and the federal association of company health insurance funds.
From 1992 to 2000 Elke Hoff was a full-time alderman for the district of Neuwied, department head for economy, traffic, road construction, construction and village renewal, schools, youth and culture. From 2000 to 2005 she was Vice-President of the Structure and Approval Directorate North in Koblenz and at the same time Head of Department for Spatial Planning, Regional Planning, Nature Conservation and Expropriation / Compensation.
Elke Hoff is married and has three children.
Political party
She has been a member of the FDP since 1981. From 1985 to 1997 she was chairwoman of the FDP district association Neuwied and has been deputy state chairwoman of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate since 2007. In 2011 she was elected to the Presidium of the Federal FDP.
MPs
From 2005 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag . From 2005 to 2009 she was spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group for disarmament policy and since 2009 for security policy. She was also a full member of the Defense Committee and an alternate member of the Foreign Affairs Committee . As it became known in 2009, she was a member of the Presidium of the German Defense Technology Association (DWT), which she had not reported to the Bundestag.
Elke Hoff entered the Bundestag via the Rhineland-Palatinate state list. For the general election in 2013 Hoff did not occur again.

Hoff is a member of the European Union parliamentary group of the German Bundestag .
