Angelo Pagano OFMCap (born January 15, 1954 in Asmara , Eritrea ) is an Italian-Eritrean Roman Catholic religious and apostolic vicar of Harar .

Life

Angelo Pagano was born the son of Italian immigrants in Eritrea, then part of Italy. After attending school and earning a degree in construction, he went back to Italy with his parents in 1973. At 25, he entered the Capuchin Order and received on 25 June 1988, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 16 April 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Ficus and Apostolic Vicar of Harar. The Archbishop of Addis Ababa , Berhaneyesus Demerew Cardinal Souraphiel CM , donated his episcopal ordination on May 29th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Ethiopia, Archbishop Luigi Bianco , and his predecessor Woldetensaé Ghebreghiorghis OFMCap.
