AniNite

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The AniNite is a year since 2001 in Vienna held anime convention , organized by the Austrian Association since 2003 for Japanese youth culture Animanga Austria. The name AniNite ( pronunciation : [ ˈaninʌɪt ]) recalls the time when this event was only one night long, which most of the visitors went through.

program

As at many other anime conventions in the German-speaking area, the following program items are offered.

particularities

Some stations on the AniNite are rather unusual compared to other German-speaking cons.

  • Geekroom competition
In this competition, photos of your own room and the anime and manga collection are sent in and rated according to categories such as the size of the collection, arrangement and the chaos factor.
  • Yonkoma competition
  • Austrian Otaku of the Year
To qualify for this competition, you have to have done well in other competitions. In a final elimination, the winner is determined by humorous but not easy to existent tasks.
  • AniLite Preview Event
In addition to AniNite, the Animanga Association has been organizing a freely accessible event with a smaller program since 2005.
