Anja Wrede

Anja Wrede (* 1968 in Lower Saxony ) is a German game designer .

After graduating from high school, she studied pedagogy at the TU Braunschweig. Her then Professor Hein Retter gave her the idea of ​​developing games. Their first games were released in 1995. In the meantime she has published more than 100 games for various German and international publishers (e.g. Friedrich Verlag , HABA , Kosmos , Moses , Ravensburger , Schmidt Spiele ).

Her focus is on developing games for children and families with easy access. The games Klapper-Hexen (2004), Find the Animals (2009) and Little Frog Music (2011) are on the recommendation list of the children's game of the year . Her game Insel der Schmuggler (2004) was awarded in 2004 at the Austrian game award "Game of Games" in the category of hit games for children .

She works in a team with the authors Christoph Cantzler and Bruno Faidutti , among others . Together with Cantzler, she brought the children's game ghost clock onto the market.

Anja Wrede is the sister of the visual artist Barbara Wrede .
