At the UCI rail world championships in 1931 , Anker Meyer Andersen was third in the amateur sprint , two years later, at the rail world championships in 1933 , he was able to achieve this placement again. He was also Danish sprint champion three times, in 1932 and 1933 in the amateurs and in 1942 in the professionals . He also won track races at Scandinavian championships four times.
The Danish championship in sprint for professionals was not held continuously. From 1994, after the separation of amateurs and professionals, the riders belong to the elite.
