Carl Koblauch

Carl Koblauch (born March 19, 1923 in Copenhagen , † January 1, 1951 in Shepparton ) was a Danish track cyclist .

Carl Koblauch was one of the most successful Danish track cyclists in the 1940s. Twice he was Danish champion in the sprint of the amateurs , four times in the professionals .

On January 1, 1951 launched Koblauch at a New Year meeting at the velodrome of Shepparton in Melbourne in Australia . After winning a race, he was carried out of the curve of the track after the finish line, hit a light pole and died instantly. He was 27 years old.
