Anna-Lena Grell (born May 24, 1995 in Eutin ) is a German handball player who played for Buxtehuder SV in the Bundesliga over the course of her career .

Career

Grell started in 2001 in the ball game group of TSV Ratekau. In Ratekau she was part of a successful youth team with which she won the state championship several times, took third place in the German B youth championship in 2012 and qualified for the A youth Bundesliga. After the left-hander also ran up in the second half of the 2013/14 season with a double right to play for the women's team of ATSV Stockelsdorf , she joined Stockelsdorf in the following season. In the league season 2014/15 she scored a total of 84 goals for Stockelsdorf.

In 2015 Grell signed a contract with Bundesliga club Buxtehuder SV . In addition to the Bundesliga team, she also ran at Buxtehuder SV for the second team in the 3rd division . Grell played a total of 20 competitive games for the first women's team, in which they scored 2 goals. In the summer of 2016, she moved to the upper division club SG Todesfelde / Leezen .

Grell belonged to the state selection of the handball association Schleswig-Holstein . She was later spotted for the DHB selection.

Private

Her father Heiko played handball at VfL Bad Schwartau , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1986 . Her brother Jan is handball referee and directs games in the women's Bundesliga.
