Anna Jablonskaya

Anna Jablonskaja, actually Anna Maschutina (born July 20, 1981 in Odessa ; † January 24, 2011 in Moscow-Domodedovo Airport ), was a Russian-speaking Ukrainian playwright .

Life

Anna Maschutina studied international law at the Odessa Law Academy. She was married to Artem Mashutin; In 2007 the daughter Maria was born.

She wrote under the pseudonym Anna Jablonskaja. In addition to lyrical works, she has written almost twenty plays in Russian that revolve around family life and individual female fates. Most of her pieces were premiered in Yekaterinburg . Since 2004, Jablonskaja has received various prizes at theater festivals in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Minsk in Russia and Belarus . In 2006 she was invited to the theater biennale “New Plays from Europe” in Wiesbaden , as well as to the “Springdance” festival in Utrecht , and in 2010 she was a guest at the London Royal Court Theater .

Jablonskaja was on her way to Moscow on January 24, 2011, where she was to receive a film award. She was among the victims of the suicide attack at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport .
