Hofkühl lies south of the core town of Attendorn and approx. 2 km southwest of the village of Repe . To the west lies Berlinghausen and to the east Rieflinghausen . The mountain Auf der Mark rises to the south at 555 m above sea level. NN.

history

In 1383, the settlement founded as a single farm, Hoffkule was first mentioned.

For centuries, Hofkühl belonged to the parish of Helden and in the 20th century to the municipality of Helden , which was partially incorporated into the town of Attendorn as part of the municipal reorganization. In the course of this, the one-class school in Repe was closed, which in addition to the Repener children also taught children from Rieflinghausen, Hofkühl and Berlinghausen.
