Hebberg is a district of the city of Attendorn in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) and has 33 inhabitants.

geography

Hebberg is located northwest of the core town of Attendorn in the Ebbegebirge on the border with the Märkischer Kreis . Neuenhof and Lichtringhausen are to the southeast . The local mountain is the 466 m high Hebberg.

history

Politically, Hebberg formerly belonged to the Waldenburg office and in the Gogericht and parish Attendorn to the Windhausen peasantry , which also encompassed surrounding places such as Lichtringhausen, Weltringhausen , Windhausen u. a. belonged to. In the appraisal register of 1543, the Winterhuißer Burschäft with 21 taxpayers names a hanß uf dem Heidtberge and a Johann uf dem Heidtberge with a fee of 1½ gold gulden each . In the register of 1565, Henrich uff dem Hiertberge was taxed with 2 ort (½ Gg) and Johan his cousin with 1½ gold guilders. In a document from the Ewig monastery in 1638 a Theves on the Hebberge is mentioned.

There used to be two estates in Hebberg, the Drosten Gut, also known as the foremost estate (first mentioned in 1610), was a first class estate in 1829. The Schulten Gut, also called Hinterstes Gut (first mentioned in 1633), belonged to the Schnellenberg family and in 1829 was also a first-class estate. From the beginning to the middle of the 19th century, the Cramer family owned both farms through inheritance or marriage.

The address book from 1929 in Hebberg lists the names “Bender, Cramer (10), Damm, Heß, Köhler (2), Mergemann, Meier, Reuber, Reuter and Stuff (3)”. In 1936 there were 7 houses with 9 households and 56 inhabitants in Hebberg. In 1988 the place had 35 inhabitants.

From 1819 Hebberg belonged to the Attendorn municipality in the Attendorn-Land municipality , until it was incorporated into the town of Attendorn in 1969.

Religion, associations

Hebberg belongs to the parish of Lichtringhausen, sport and club life takes place in the larger neighboring towns.
