The forester's house Ebbe is located northwest of the core town of Attendorn on the border with Plettenberg , south of the Oestertalsperre . The two buildings are located in the middle of a large forest area on the Rüenhardt (636 m) in the Ebbegebirge . South of the forester's house stems from the Berndebach and the nature reserve begins Berndebachtal . To the east are the Attendorn districts of Hebberg , Neuenhof , Nuttmecke and Lichtringhausen . The Sauerland-Höhenflug hiking trail leads past the forester's lodge .

In the address book from 1929 the private forester Heinrich Balzer and the forest assistant Oskar Wonnewitz are listed in the Ebbe forest house. In the 1938 address book the game warden Franz Luke. The forester Franz Luke (1891–1964) came from Eichen and is also listed in the address book from 1956 as a forest overseer, as is the sleeper cutter Gustav Märtin. In the 1970s there was the head forester Vogel in the forester's house.
