Ebbelinghagen is a district of the town of Attendorn in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) and has 31 inhabitants.

Ebbelinghagen is located northwest of the core town of Attendorn on the edge of the Ebbegebirge , west of Windhausen and north of Listerscheid .

history

Ebblinghagen was first mentioned in 1383 as Eblinchagen . The place name can be interpreted with its basic word -hagen / -inghagen (enclosure, enclosure) and the defining word, a male personal name, as " in the enclosed settlement of the people of Abbilo / Abbili or Ebbilo / Ebbili ". In 1440 a Hannes Ebbelinchagen , in 1459 a Hedenrich Ebelickhagen and in 1487 a Hannes Ebblinchagen was named in documents of the monastery Ewig . At the Wesebach below the village it should be in the 13th – 16th centuries. Century gave a hammer mill.

Politically, Ebbelinghagen was formerly part of the Waldenburg office and in the Gogericht and parish Attendorn part of the Albringhausen peasantry , which also includes surrounding towns such as Roscheid , Beukenbeul , Weschede u. a. belonged to. In the appraisal register of 1543, a Hanß zu Ebbinckhagen with a tax of 3 gold guilders is mentioned in the Ailberinhausen bureau with 26 taxpayers . During the Thirty Years War , the farmer Caspar Eyeringhausen was attacked by soldiers twice, in 1625 and 1626, and only released again in exchange for a ransom for him and his horses.

In the 17th century there were three estates in Ebbelinghagen: Gockeln Gut, Breen Gut and Eierkus Gut. The Gockeln Gut was a hereditary property (first mentioned in 1648) and in 1829 a first-class property, owned by the Bender family from 1785.

The Breen Gut estate (first mentioned in 1677) was a second-class estate in 1829, owned by the Springob family from 1802 and the Teipel family from 1833.

The Eierkus Gut (first mentioned in 1661) was also a second-class estate in 1829, owned by the Schnütgen, Bicher and Arens families.

The address book from 1929 in Ebbelinghagen lists the names "Bender (9), Kramer (4), Rüschenberg (2), Stahl, Strautz (2), Teipel (2) and Tump". In 1936 there were 9 houses with 11 households and 71 inhabitants in the village. The address book from 1956 lists the names “Bender (8), Cramer (8), Reuter, Rüschenberg (4), Strautz (2), Stuff (2), Teipel (2) and Tump (3)”. In 1988 the village had 30 residents.

From 1819 Ebbelinghagen belonged to the Attendorn municipality in the Attendorn-Land municipality , until it was incorporated into the town of Attendorn in 1969.

Ebbelinghagen belongs to the parish of Lichtringhausen , sport and club life takes place in the larger neighboring towns.
