Wörmge is a district of the town of Attendorn in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) and has 23 inhabitants.

geography

Wörmge is located southwest of the core town of Attendorn on the Lister Dam between the Meinerzhagen district of Windebruch in the west and the Olper district of Sondern in the east. The Attendorn districts of Vosssiepen and Uelhof are in the northeast .

history

Politically belonged Wörmge formerly the Office Waldenburg and Gogericht and parish Attendorn to peasantry Langenohl , who also surrounding places like Voßsiepen, Uelhof, Listernohl , Maiwormshammer among others belonged.

In the 17th century Wörmge was a Köttergut and indeed a genetic material; managed by Jacob Möller until 1681, then by his son-in-law. As early as July 5, 1666, a Jacob Moller on the Whörmeke was mentioned twice in a document from the Ewig monastery when it came to several letters of renunciation.

The address book from 1929 in Wörmge has the names "Landwirte Edmund and Johann Zeppenfeld". In 1936 there were 2 houses and 14 residents in the place. The address book from 1956 has the names "Otto and Zeppenfeld (3 people)". In 1988 Wörmge had 11 residents.

From 1819 Wörmge belonged in office Attendorn to the municipality Attendorn-Land , was incorporated into the city Attendorn to the community 1969th

Today there is also a weekend house settlement in the village, the former hotel "Landhaus Wörmge", the "Campingplatz Wörmge" and a large children's playground called "Rabaukenland".

The “Bigge-Lister-Wanderweg” (circular hiking trail) passes by at the height above the village.
