history

The Nuttmecker Hammer was built in 1760 , probably by Jost Henrich Stahlschmidt from Himmelmert . Then Peter Stahlschmidt was involved in the 4th part of the hammer mill. In 1836 the iron hammer was still labeled " Stahlschmidt EH " on the first recording card .

Later there was only one mill with a small farm in Nuttmecker Hammer . In 1883 and 1908 the "mill owner Ernst Brösecke" and in 1885 still "Joh. Friedr. Bröseke, Bäcker und Müller “. The address books from 1929 and 1938 in Nuttmecke only list “Ernst Brösecke, Farmer and Müller”. Today there are residential buildings in the place of the mill. A little further in the small side valley (street “Im Tal”) northwest of the Heßberg (512 m), a few houses were built from the second half of the 20th century.

The address book from 1956 in Nuttmecke has the names "Bender, Brösecke (2) and Kynast". In 1988 the place had 40 inhabitants.

From 1819 Nuttmecke belonged to the Attendorn municipality in the Attendorn-Land municipality until the municipality was incorporated into the town of Attendorn in 1969.
