Anna Lena Plate

Anna Lena Plate (born November 20, 1998 in Leipzig ) is a German handball player .

Life

From 2005 to 2007 she played in the youth team of SG Grün-Weiß Hohendodeleben. At the age of eight she switched to HSC 2000 Magdeburg and from 2009 attended the sports high school in Magdeburg . In the 2013/14 season, the 1.88 meter tall back player ran for Viborg HK in Denmark and attended the Sports Academy Viborg . Then she moved to HC Leipzig , where she played in the junior team in the 3rd division from summer 2014 . On March 29, 2015, Plate played for the first time in the Bundesliga against SVG Celle . In the summer of 2018, Plate announced the end of her career, but she then joined the Amazonen Athletic Club Leipzig.

Plate was part of the extended squad of the youth national team and, since 2016, has been part of the junior national team, for which she has played nine international matches so far. With the national team she won the International Toyota Lambeng Girls Cup in Schmelz in 2014 and in 2015 she took part in the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi .

successes

With the state selection of Saxony-Anhalt , she competed in many tournaments between 2010 and 2014 and in 2013 came fourth in the regional cup of the German Handball Federation .
