Anna Katharine Popplewell (born December 16, 1988 in London ) is a British film actress .

life and career

Popplewell was born into a middle-class family. Her mother is a doctor , her father a lawyer . She herself has two younger siblings, of whom her brother Freddie was already involved in Peter Pan (2003) and her sister Lulu in Actually ... Love (2003).

Since 1994 , when she was six, Popplewell attended the Allsorts Drama School in London, an institution that not only teaches acting , but also has its own agency. Through this agency, the students are placed in professional film productions .

Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she played Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The King of Narnia . In the sequels of the series , Prince Caspian of Narnia and The Journey on the Dawn , she also played the role of Susan. From 2013 to 2016 she played the role of Lola , a lady-in-waiting to Queen Mary of Scots , in the series Reign .

Popplewell has been married to fellow actor Sam Caird since May 14, 2016 .
