The philosopher Robert Pfaller said of Stangl: Anna Stangl is primarily concerned with drawing in a poetically figurative way. The focus of her work is the human, especially female, body, but also plants and strange animals. A strange, slightly unsettling, poisonously beautiful world of hints, confusion of the soul and unexplained threats emerges in her work.
Her works can be found in the collections of the Albertina , in the Leopold Museum and in the Museum der Moderne Rupertinum .
Anna Stangl lives and works in Vienna.
