Anna Vita

Anna Vita (born July 9, 1964 in Neuss ) is a German dancer , choreographer , director and dance teacher .

Life

Anna Vita grew up in a pastor's family, where she was made familiar with different genres at an early age. At the age of four she began to take regular dance lessons at a private school in Heidelberg. In 1983 she completed her dance training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart.

Her engagements as a dancer then took her to the Saarbrücken State Theater , the Dortmund Theater , the Bonn Opera , the Basel Theater and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf / Duisburg. In her career as a dancer she danced in various roles and took part in more than 50 ballets by choreographers such as Hans van Manen , Niels Christe, Heinz Spoerli , John Neumeier , Mats Ek and Youri Vámos .

She took on further commissions for opera, operetta and dance theater at the Opera in Halle , the Theater Augsburg , the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf / Duisburg, at the Opera de Nice , at the Istanbul State Opera and at the Ankara State Opera .

From the 2004/2005 season to 2017/2018 she was ballet director at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg under the artistic directors Hermann Schneider and from 2016 Markus Trabusch .

In addition to her choreographic work, she was involved in a community dance theater and was, from 2010 to 2014, 1st chairwoman of the Round Table Dance Würzburg / Mainfranken e. V. In 2011 she organized the first joint dance festival of the Würzburg and regional dance scene. The dance festival was repeated in 2014 with growing success.

Anna Vita has been working as a freelance artist since 2018.
