Bernhard Stengele

Bernhard Stengele (born April 23, 1963 in Wangen im Allgäu ) is a German actor , reciter , director and theater director.

Life

Stengele completed his acting training at the Ecole Monika Pagneux et Philipp Gaullier in Paris. After guest engagements at the Teatro itinerante del sol (Düsseldorf / Bogotá ), the Skoronel dance theater (Berlin), the Hanover theater workshop and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus (Hamburg), he became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Konstanz City Theater in 1992 . In 1996 he moved to the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken, where he also did his first directorial work. In 2001 director Dagmar Schlingmann brought him back to the Stadttheater Konstanz as an actor and director. It was here that Stengele premiered his first two poetry programs You have duck feet and Behind a thousand bars with great success, with which he still appears regularly today.

From 2004 to 2012 he was acting director at the Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg . From 2012 to 2017 he worked in the same position at the Thuringian Theater & Philharmonic in Altenburg and Gera.

Bernhard Stengele has worked on co-productions with theaters in Burkina Faso , Greece , Turkey and Israel , including Die Frauen von Troja (2014), a theater production funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation ; Les Zéros-Morts - Die Schutzlosen (2014 and 2015) and Cohn Bucky Levy The Loss (2017) - also funded by the Federal Cultural Foundation and the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility, Future .

In 2007 he founded the THEN quartet together with Kai Christian Moritz, Ulrich Pakusch and Philipp Reinheimer.

In 2017 he took over the management of the Überlingen summer theater .

He then worked as a chief consultant at a medium-sized company.

In the Thuringian state elections in 2019 , he ran as a direct candidate for constituency 44 for Bündis90 / The Greens .

On January 25, 2020, he was elected spokesman for the regional association Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Thuringia at a state delegates conference together with Ann-Sophie Bohm-Eisenbrandt .
