Mona Neubaur (born July 1, 1977 in Pöttmes ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ), state chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen NRW and former managing director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation NRW.

Life

Neubaur completed the Abitur at the Catholic St. Bonaventura Gymnasium in Dillingen an der Donau and began studying at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf in 1997 , where she graduated as a teacher (educational sciences, sociology, psychology) in 2003. After that she was a public relations advisor at the green electricity provider Naturstrom AG until 2007 . From there she moved to the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung NRW, where she was promoted to management in 2010.

politics

At the age of 15, Neubaur became involved in social interference through theater work. She joined the Greens in 1999, and in 2007 she was elected spokeswoman for the Düsseldorf district association. In 2009 and 2013 she was nominated as a direct candidate for the federal election for the constituency of the Düsseldorf I constituency . At the same time, it was placed in 19th place on the NRW state list in 2013. In 2014 the Greens of North Rhine-Westphalia elected Mona Neubaur as the successor to Monika Düker as state chairwoman.

Neubaur names the topics of environmental, energy, transport policy and democracy as their focus. During her time as a local politician in Düsseldorf, she successfully campaigned for a switch from coal to gas and steam turbine power generation in part of the Lausward power plant (Düsseldorf port area) as part of the Clean Power Alliance .

Mona Neubaur's engagements include working as a speaker in the Association of German Amateur Theaters. She is also a member u. a. at the Federation for Environment and Nature Conservation Germany , eurosolar eV, germanwatch eV, Fortuna Düsseldorf .
