Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz

Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz (born September 27, 1977 in East Berlin ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She has been state chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Sachsen-Anhalt since June 18, 2016 .

Life and work

Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz was born and raised in the big city of East Berlin . She is married to a Quedlinburger and has three children - two daughters and a son. She has lived in Quedlinburg since 2008 . She works there as a nurse at the Harz Clinic Dorothea Christiane Erxleben .

Political commitment

Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz gained her first political experience in 1994 in the youth organization of the PDS , the predecessor of The Left .

Left youth

In 1998 he was elected member of the district assembly of Berlin-Köpenick for one legislative period via the open list of the PDS. After these first experiences, she initially withdrew from active politics.

Alliance 90 / The Greens

Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz joined the Greens in 2010 and the anti-nuclear movement in Quedlinburg the following year . 2015 she became the chairperson of the green district association elected resin.

State election 2016

In the state election on March 13, 2016 , she ran for position 7 on the state list of ALLIANCE 90 / THE GREENS and narrowly missed the mandate.

Election for state chairman 2016

On June 18, 2016, she was elected in the third ballot with 57 percent as the successor of Cornelia Lüddemann as the new state chairman of the Greens in Saxony-Anhalt, the opposing candidate was Melanie Ranft from Halle. Together with Christian Franke-Langmach, she forms the party's new dual leadership. She advocated the formation of a government together with the SPD and CDU , the first black-red-green coalition , also known as the Kenya coalition, at the state level.
