Alexandra Pichl

Alexandra Pichl (born October 1, 1978 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ) is a German politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . Since 2019 she has been the state chairwoman of the Brandenburg regional association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.

Life

Pichl grew up in Kleinmachnow and studied journalism and communication science at the Free University of Berlin . After completing her studies, she worked in PR and marketing departments at various IT companies . She is currently working as a communications consultant for a technical service provider in the event industry in Teltow. She also works for the Women's Political Council Land Brandenburg e. V. as a freelancer .

Since Pichl was 14, she has been working on a voluntary basis in Protestant parishes as a group leader for children and young people or as a German teacher and godmother for refugees . After 20 years of church engagement , she came to Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen through a women's mentoring program. There she became an assessor in the state board of Brandenburg in 2016 . She is also the spokesperson for women's policy and the LAG women's and gender policy of the Brandenburg state association of her party. She is also the parliamentary group leader of her parliamentary group in the community council of Kleinmachnow. With the election of state chairwoman Alexandra Pichl and her co-chairwoman Julia Schmidt , the first female dual leadership in the history of the Brandenburg State Association was elected.
