Eva Lettenbauer (born October 30, 1992 in Neuburg an der Donau ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2018 and chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Bayern since October 2019 .

Life

Lettenbauer studied the master's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on sustainability management, resource strategies, and renewable energies at the University of Augsburg and, according to his own information, worked in the project planning of solar systems.

In 2011 Lettenbauer joined Alliance 90 / The Greens after the Fukushima nuclear disaster . In 2012 she took part in youth and parliament . From 2013 to 2017 she was youth spokesperson and assessor in the district board of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Donau-Ries. In May 2017 she was elected district chairwoman there. In addition, she has been a member of the regional committee of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Bayern since October 2015.

At the Green Youth she was initially active in Swabia and in April 2015 became spokeswoman for the Green Youth Bavaria. She held the office for three years. From November 2013 to October 2015 she was the coordinator of the specialist forum for economics and social affairs / finances of the Green Youth at the federal level.

Lettenbauer competed in the state elections in Bavaria in 2018 together with Florian Siekmann as the top duo of the Green Youth and ran for the constituency of Donau-Ries and on the third position of the second-vote ballot in the constituency of Swabia . She was elected member of the Bavarian State Parliament in this election when she achieved the sixth best overall vote result on the constituency list of the Greens. Lettenbauer is a member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family.

She spoke out against a coalition with Markus Söder at an early stage and warned against “government fetishism” - the opposition had already achieved a lot and referred to the “abolition of tuition fees”.

Since 2018 she has been Deputy Parliamentary Managing Director and a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee. In October 2019 she was elected chairwoman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Bavaria. She officiates together with Eike Hallitzky .
