Hans-Joachim Janßen (born December 17, 1960 in Varel ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament until 2017 . Since October 2018 he has been state chairman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Lower Saxony .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1980, Janßen did community service. Then he began to study land maintenance in Hanover, which he graduated with a diploma in 1990. He then worked in a planning office and as a head of department at the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park Administration. From 1995 to 1997 he trained for the higher technical administration service in Lower Saxony in the field of state maintenance. From 1998 to 2003 and from 2008 to the election to the state parliament in 2013, he worked as a technical employee in the lower nature conservation authority in the Wesermarsch district . He lives in Jade Parish , is divorced and has two children.

politics

Janßen has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1993 . From 1991 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2007 he was councilor and alderman of the city of Varel, from 2001 to 2006 chairman of the committee for planning and the environment. Between 2000 and 2003 he was also a member of the district council in the district of Friesland . Janßen has been a councilor for the Jade community since 2011. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 2003 to 2008. In 2013 Janßen was re-elected to the Lower Saxony state parliament, where he is deputy chairman of the committee for food, agriculture, consumer protection and regional development. From April 2010 to February 2011 he was deputy state chairman of his party in Lower Saxony.

Janßen has been a member of the party council of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Niedersachsen since 2011 . At the end of October 2018, he was elected regional chairman of the party alongside Anne Kura at the state party conference in Celle .
