Sigi Hagl (born May 3, 1967 in Landshut , actually Sigrid Hagl ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). 2014-2019 she was state chairman of the Bavarian Greens .

education and profession

After graduating from the Hans-Leinberger-Gymnasium , Sigi Hagl trained as a radio editor and studied political science .

Before she made politics her job, Sigi Hagl was the studio manager of a private radio station and lecturer at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Regensburg .

Hagl is the mother of two children.

politics

In 2004 Sigi Hagl joined Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . Since 2008 city councilor in her hometown Landshut .

On November 17, 2013, she was elected head of the country at the party convention of the Bavarian Greens . In October 2015 she was re-elected and elected to the party council in November 2015 at the federal party conference of the Greens. At the state delegate conference on October 8, 2017, she was confirmed as state chairwoman with 67.9 percent in office.

Hagl ran as a candidate for the office of mayor in Landshut in the 2020 local elections, but lost the election to the incumbent mayor.
