Klaus Resch

Klaus Resch (* 1938 in Berlin ) is a German publisher and former politician ( AUD , Die Grünen ).

Professional background

Resch grew up in Tyrol and the area around Munich. After studying and various professional activities, u. a. in his father's technical publishing house Heinz Resch, he founded his own Klaus Resch publishing house in 1967. The publishing house took over the industry leader as the first job market for university graduates, which was later renamed to Career Start. He founded the industrial magazine and published various books. In 1990 Klaus Resch handed the publishing house over to Angela Resch and Hans-Thilo Sommer.

Political activities

In 1977, Resch in which imaging as Green Party in Bavaria AUD of August Haußleiter and was county chairman in the district of Starnberg . At the suggestion of Klaus Resch, the AUD entered the state election in Bavaria in 1978 as Die Grünen / AUD. Then Resch became her press spokesman at the state level. At the constituent assembly of green, alternative and ecological groups for the 1979 European elections in Frankfurt / Höchst, Klaus Resch made the statement for the name DIE GRÜNEN used in Bavaria and thus won against the “Green List” proposal. From the merger of AUD / Die Grünen and Herbert Gruhls GAZ ( Green Action Future ), the first state association of the Greens was formed in Bavaria at the end of 1979 and Klaus Resch was elected chairman. In 1983, Klaus Resch withdrew from politics for personal reasons.
