Jörg Westerhoff

Jörg Westerhoff (born February 24, 1930 in Niederlausitz ) is a politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . From 1980 to 1982 he was state chairman of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Bayern , from 1984 to 2002 he was city councilor in Augsburg .

Life

Westerhoff was a music teacher at the Stetten Institute in Augsburg and at the Wernher-von-Braun-Gymnasium in Friedberg . In 1979 he was a co-founder of the Augsburg Green Party , and in 1980 he was a delegate of the founding assembly of this party. In 1980 he was elected regional chairman of the Bavarian Greens together with Eberhard Bueb and Manfred Quickert and held this office until 1982. From 1984 to 2002 he was a member of the Greens in Augsburg's city council, including for a long time as parliamentary group leader of his party. For many years he was the spokesman for the state working group for Christians of the Bavarian Greens.
