Dagmar Schlingmann

Dagmar Schlingmann (born June 6, 1960 in Kempen ) is a German director and general manager .

Life

Schlingmann studied theater studies , German literature and philosophy at the University of Cologne . She gained her first experience at the theater as an assistant director and dramaturge under BK Tragelehn , Manfred Karge and Dimiter Gotscheff . Schlingmann has been working as a director since 1986 and has staged in Cologne , Kassel , Luxembourg and Hanover , among others . From 1998 to 2001 she was acting director at the Landestheater Linz , from 2001 to 2006 director of the Stadttheater Konstanz and from 2006 to 2017 general director of the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken. Since the 2017/18 season she has been General Director of the Braunschweig State Theater .

Dagmar Schlingmann networked the Saarbrücken Dreispartenhaus with cooperation partners such as the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen , the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki , the English National Opera in London , the Théâtre National du Luxembourg and the Saar Music Festival . With the EU-supported network TOTAL THEATER, which connects six theater partners from the Greater Region from Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany, the European idea was firmly anchored in the theater's program. In the 2008/2009 season, the theater was recognized for the “Best Opera Program” by the Association of German Theater Publishers.
