Anne Gellinek (* 1962 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German journalist and television presenter.

Life

From 1981 Gellinek studied Slavic Studies , Eastern European History and Journalism in Münster and Moscow , Russia . During this time she worked as a freelancer in the Moscow offices of the Rheinische Post newspaper and Newsweek magazine . From 1991 to 1992 she was a trainee at the Second German Television (ZDF) in Mainz . She then worked as a reporter in the ZDF regional studio in Düsseldorf until 1995 . During that time, she was in Seattle , Washington , in 1994 on a three-month Arthur F. Burns Fellowship for young journalists . From 1995 she moderated the ZDF morning magazine in Berlin . From 1998 to 2003 she worked as a correspondent for the ZDF studio in Moscow. From March 2003 she worked as a correspondent in the ZDF capital studio in Berlin. From August 2008 to 2014 she was the director of the ZDF studio in Moscow.

With Roland Strumpf , Gellinek created the 45-minute documentary Duel ums Gas - Of Pipelines, Politicians and Profit . This aired on January 13, 2010. They did research together 25 years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster . The resulting report S-Bahn nach Chernobyl - How dangerous is the death zone? was broadcast on April 13, 2011 on ZDF.

On February 7, 2014, she hosted the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi on ZDF , with the sports presenter Wolf-Dieter Poschmann . Since August 2014 she has been working as a correspondent at the ZDF studio in Brussels in Belgium . In January 2015 she took over its management.
