Antônio Augusto Dias Duarte

Antônio Augusto Dias Duarte (born November 7, 1948 in Santo André ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro .

Life

Antônio Augusto Dias Duarte joined the personal prelature Opus Dei and was ordained a priest on August 15, 1978 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro and titular bishop of Tuscamia on January 12, 2005 . The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro and Ordinarius for the Byzantine Believers in Brazil , Eusébio Oscar Cardinal Scheid SCI , donated him episcopal ordination on March 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alano Maria Pena OP , Archbishop of Niterói , and Eugênio Cardinal de Araújo Sales , Senior Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro. As a motto he chose Omnia in bonum .
