Antônio Carlos Diniz de Andrada (born November 21, 1932 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Antônio Carlos Diniz de Andrada is the son of Maria Hilda Diniz de Andrada and Antônio Carlos Lafayette de Andrada .

After a competition by the Rio Branco Institute , de Andrada was accepted into the foreign service as third class consul in 1955. In 1956 he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro .

After being promoted to second-class legation secretary, Andrada was employed as an associate consul in Munich from 1959 to 1960 , and then as second-class legation secretary in Bonn until 1964 . In 1964, in recognition of his services, he was promoted to Secretary of the Embassy, ​​First Class, and was initially promoted to Assistant to the Head of the Western Europe Department until 1966, before heading the Africa Department from 1966 to 1967. Afterwards Andrada served as counselor in 1971 to Vienna , where he additionally meantime 1969-1970 as chargé acted.

From 1971 to 1972 he headed the Eastern Europe department and, after his promotion in 1972, was appointed second class envoy as a member of the coordination commission of the Foreign Ministry's import commission. In 1973 he headed the Europe II department and from 1974 to 1977 he was transferred back to Bonn as a delegation counselor, where he was also temporarily active as chargé d'affaires in 1975.

Finally, from April 27, 1977 to September 27, 1989, he took over the post of ambassador in Islamabad and then until February 9, 1996 in Kingston (Jamaica) , where he was also accredited in Nassau and Belmopan at the same time .
