Antal Majnek OFM (born November 18, 1951 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian priest and bishop of Mukachevo .

Life

Antal Majnek joined the Order of the Franciscans (OFM) and was ordained a priest on April 17, 1982 . On December 9, 1995, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Transcarpathia and titular bishop of Febiana .

The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Jorge María Mejía , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops and the College of Cardinals .

As a motto he chose “Deus Fortitudo Mea”. On October 7, 1997 he was appointed Apostolic Administrator of Transcarpathia. With the elevation to the diocese on March 27, 2002 he was appointed bishop of Mukachevo .
