Adriano Langa

Adriano Langa OFM (born October 25, 1946 in Macupulana ) is a Mozambican religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Inhambane .

Life

Adriano Langa joined the Order of the Franciscans (OFM) and was ordained a priest on November 21, 1982 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Maputo and titular bishop of Baia on October 24, 1997 . The Archbishop of Maputo, Alexandre José Maria Cardinal dos Santos OFM, donated him episcopal consecration on February 22 of the following year; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Peter Zurbriggen , Apostolic Nuncio in Mozambique , and Júlio Duarte Langa , Bishop of Xai-Xai .

On April 1, 2005, he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Inhambane . With the death of Alberto Setele on September 7, 2006, he succeeded him as Bishop of Inhambane.
