Antarktika is a German comedy - mystery - web series by the public youth broadcaster funk from 2017. The series was created entirely in Minecraft's game engine and is available on the funk website and on its own YouTube channel with over 75,000 subscribers shown.

action

The young doctor Dr. Myra Johnson begins her service at the research station Antarctica III, where she is to be part of the 15-strong winter crew (plus a monkey and an intern). But as she learns on arrival, this place is not only very dangerous, it is also full of mysteries. Accidents are the order of the day. Strange tremors - triggered by the researchers' drillings - shake the station, and green slime appears everywhere.

What nobody should know at first: Myra is the daughter of the station manager Dr. Anthony Burke, with whom she does not have a good relationship. Well, when she arrived, he disappeared without a trace. The predominantly male crew doesn't seem to care. Instead, she tries to court the attractive doctor on board. Myra finds an ally in safety officer Robert Right alone. Soon they even get closer in private.

But when radio contact with home is lost and the only power source fails - both possibly due to sabotage - Robert Right has to sacrifice himself to save the others. From now on, Myra is on her own: Surrounded by unrealistic colleagues, cut off from the outside world and in the middle of the now onset of polar winter, while a dangerous secret slumbers under the ice.
