Daniele Rizzo (born January 19, 1984 in Hanover ) is an Italian - German comedian , actor and presenter .

Life

Daniele Rizzo was born in Hanover, but spent his entire childhood and youth in Dortmund. As the son of an Italian diplomat and an Italian business woman, he grew up bilingually and graduated from Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Dortmund in 2003 .

After various internships in the media industry, he began studying law at the University of Cologne. During his studies he was an intern and for a short time freelancer at Radio Köln 107.1 and began his voluntary work at the Cologne University Radio Kölncampus as a moderator and trainer. During this time Daniele Rizzo founded the radio comedy show “Monster” with other colleagues, in which he performed unusual actions live on the street as “Der Radio-Aktiv-Mann”.

Rizzo drew attention to himself with his so-called “sketch interviews”, in which he met Hollywood stars like Will Smith , Adam Sandler and Kevin James in costumes .

After presenting KAI3 for NRW.TV in 2006 , the RTL video portal Clipfish Rizzo signed a contract in early 2007 . As the face of the portal, he explained new functions to visitors to the site and created videos with user topics. He organized the skits, street surveys and subsequent interviews on his own and was also responsible for the video editing. In the same year he was sent out on the streets as an outside reporter with a hidden camera for the “Clipfish TV” program on RTL in the “Mission Clipfish with Daniele”. Clipfish was interested in heavily marketing Rizzo's videos, with many of their videos reaching over 250,000 views.

In the ARD television film " Marcel Reich-Ranicki - My Life" he played the Jewish classmate and friend of the young Marcel Reich ( Matthias Schweighöfer ).

At the Austrian horror film festival “Frightnight 2009” in October he won the prize for “Best Actor” in an amateur film with the SAE Institute university film “Under the Surface”.

He was seen as a member of the ProSieben program “Granaten wie wir” with Max Giermann . Since 2012 he has also moderated the live show MyVideo RushHour, in which clips and clips are shown and internet celebrities appear as guests.

Since 2014 Daniele Rizzo has moderated the “Blue Carpet” at the German Web Video Prize in Düsseldorf alongside Joko and Klaas , Christian Ulmen and Barbara Schöneberger . In 2018 he was nominated for the web video award in the journalism category.

Some of his Internet contributions were integrated into the RTL broadcasting group's program :

  • The clip "Knut 2010", in which Rizzo was up to mischief as a drunken polar bear in downtown Cologne, was shown on n-tv during the polar bear-Knut hysteria.
  • " Hancock vs Captain Clipfish" was in the VOX telecast Prominent! Voted 4th in the best interviews of all time. In the video, Rizzo appears as a ridiculously dressed superhero at the Hancock press conference in Berlin. Will Smith , Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron joined in the fun and gave tips on how to become "a better superhero". Later on on the red carpet, the Hollywood stars recognized the "new" Captain Clipfish and praised the new costume.
  • On March 1, 2013, he was seen in the live stream "Last Man Standing '" organized by MyVideo , where he punished the losing team. The live stream had a total of more than 1 million viewers. This program was moderated by Nela Lee .
  • Rizzo moderated the super RTL infotainment shows “Vollgas zurück”, “Tierisch Unterwegs”, “Querränker” and “Woozle Goozle und die Weltentdecker”.

From 2015 to 2017 he starred alongside Pia Stutzenstein in the comedy series Comedy Rocket . On Facebook could Comedy Rocket recorded more than 230 million video views. On YouTube alone , the clip "Sex in the Bathtub" reached over 18 million viewers (as of January 2020). The clip “This is how relationships break” was widely discussed in the media as a commentary on digitization and AI . Mac Life described the clip as "really funny and not that far-fetched". In 2017, Comedy Rocket was nominated for the Golden Camera Digital Award in the Comedy category
