Antholz Niedertal ( Italian Anterselva di Sotto ) is a fraction of the municipality of Rasen-Antholz in the Antholz Valley in South Tyrol ( Italy ) with 412 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Antholz Niedertal is located at an altitude of 1109 m . In the south, about six kilometers away, is Oberrasen , with the Bad Salomonsbrunn farmstead in between just before Antholz Niedertal. The next village into the valley is Antholz Mittertal .
history
Until 1919 Antholz Niedertal belonged as part of the cadastral municipality of Antholz in the municipality of Rasen to the judicial district of Bruneck , which became part of Italy as a result of the First World War . 1928 Cadastral Antholz together with Niederrasen, Oberrasen and Olang was under fascism the greater community Lawn Olang ( Italian Rasun Valdaora ) based in Niederrasen together. The German-speaking mayors were deposed and a Podestà from the old Italian provinces was appointed community leader. In 1955 the community was divided into the present-day communities Olang and Rasen-Antholz.
church
The church in Antholz Niedertal was built in the 15th century in the Gothic style and dedicated to St. Walburga . In 1907 the church was restored and enlarged in 1954.
