Nine houses

Neunhäusern ( Italian Nove Case ) is a fraction of the municipality of Rasen-Antholz in South Tyrol ( Italy ) with 119 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

location

Neunhäusern is located at about 1000  m in the Puster Valley . The Pustertal state road passes the town north. The Antholzer Bach flows into the Rienza east of Neunhäusern .

history

Around 1840 Neunhäusern is described as a place with five houses and a tavern and at that time belonged to Niederolang in terms of both schools and churches . The place name itself has etymologically nothing to do with the number of houses, but means "new houses" (in the case of the New Houses → nine houses).

In 1811 Neunhäusern came to the community of Niederrasen, which together with Oberrasen formed the community of lawn from 1850 to 1864. In 1928 the cadastral community Niederrasen was merged with Oberrasen, Antholz and Olang under fascism to form the large community of Rasen-Olang (Italian Rasun-Valdaora ). Today Neunhäusern forms a fraction of the community of Rasen-Antholz .
