Anthony Hampden Dickson

Anthony Hampden Dickson (born November 3, 1935 in Kingston ) is Old Bishop of Bridgetown .

Life

Anthony Hampden Dickson was ordained a priest on February 11, 1962 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on October 19, 1970 first Bishop of Bridgetown-Kingstown . The Old Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica , John Joseph McEleney S.J. , donated his episcopal ordination on January 29 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Samuel Emmanuel Carter SJ, Archbishop of Kingston in Jamaica, and Patrick Webster OSB , Bishop of Saint George's in Grenada .

Since the founding of the Diocese of Kingstown on October 23, 1989, he was bishop of the remaining Diocese of Bridgetown.

He resigned from his office on April 23, 1995.
