The Diocese of Kingstown ( Latin Dioecesis Regalitana , English Diocese of Kingstown ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Kingstown on St. Vincent . It includes the islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines .

history

Pope John Paul II established the Diocese of Kingstown on October 23, 1989 by dividing the Diocese of Bridgetown-Kingstown into the Diocese of Bridgetown and Kingstown and made it subject to the Archdiocese of Castries as a suffragan .

The diocese runs five pre-schools , three primary schools and two secondary schools .

The founding bishop was Robert Rivas OP until 2007, who has been Archbishop of Castries since then. From July 19, 2007 to 2011, the Cathedra was vacant. Archbishop Rivas was Apostolic Administrator until the appointment of the new bishop. He appointed Father Pio Atonio MF as Apostolic Delegate , who oversaw the day-to-day running of the diocese.

From 2011 to 2015 was Charles Jason Gordon in personal union Bishop of Bridgetown and Bishop of Kingstown.
