The diocese of Saint George's in Grenada ( Latin : Dioecesis Sancti Georgii ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in St. George’s in Grenada .

history

Pope Pius XII founded on February 20, 1956 the diocese from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain and subordinated it to the Archdiocese of Castries as a suffragan . On March 7, 1970 it gave parts of its territory to the newly established Diocese of Bridgetown-Kingstown , namely the islands of Barbados , St. Vincent and the Grenadines (except Carriacou and Petit Martinique ).
